First up is me! Kim Ponsoldt (one of the three Kims who work here). I started working at P.B.R in September 2021, but I was a happy customer long before that.

After purchasing an “Old Florida” home over ten years ago, right down the road in Stuart, I struggled to find furniture that fit my home in size and style. My search for charming pieces that fit our very traditional but relaxed waterfront sense of style led me straight to Palm Beach Regency. Since then, I have had a deep passion for what I consider the quintessential Palm Beach look—lots of tortoiseshell bamboo, rattan, shells, interesting fretwork, a touch of chinoiserie and pops of watery blues, yummy pinks, and refreshing greens everywhere.

When I’m not decorating my own home, you’ll find me on the sales floor. I absolutely love helping our customers pick the perfect piece to finish a room or help them design an entire home plan. I also write the blog entries for “Dear Diary” and help coordinate our special events—from logistics to food and décor.

The most fun parts of the job are styling the sales floor and brainstorming vintage vignettes for Instagram. We truly have a collaborative team and working for P.B.R is fun, challenging and creative. Just what this empty nester needed.

My favorite item in the store right now is this luscious teal velvet sofa. It’s so feminine, dreamy and G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S!

I’d pair it with this gorgeous set of peacock lamps, because I’m obsessed with anything with a bird motif, and I never settle for a boring lamp.

Next, I’d add this white Greek key mirror. It has the perfect amount of faux bamboo fretwork to make it chic and timeless. Truth be told, I want to take it home with me.

Finally, I’d place a console behind the sofa and tuck these fabulous x-stools underneath it. This pair just sold, but we usually have something similar in the shop. They are great for extra seating and look so sleek and stylish next to more traditionally styled furniture. I even like the faux skin upholstery. Go Gators!
